Biographie

Prof Christian Lovis is a Swiss board-certified physician in internal medicine, professor of clinical informatics and director of the “Genomics and digital health” track of the doctoral school in life sciences at the University of Geneva, and director of the division of Medical Information Sciences at the university Hospitals of Geneva.

His research focuses on clinical data interoperability and semantics for primary and secondary use, including clinical research. It covers advanced data analytics, including symbolic reasoning, rule-based systems, probabilistic approaches, and machine learning.

Christian is Editor-in-Chief of JMIR Medical Informatics, member of the National Advisory Board of the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN), of the scientific advisory board of the German Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur für personenbezogene Gesundheitsdaten (NFDI4Health) and of the Israel National Institute for Health Policy and Health Services Research (IJHPR).

Christian is a fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics, past president of the Swiss Society of Medical Informatics and of the European Federation of Medical Informatics.
